WHAT IS AGRIKEXPO?
AGRIKEXPO is West Africa's largest business-to-business (B2B) exhibition and conferences on Agriculture and Agro-allied Products/Services, organized and held in Nigeria. It serves as a marketplace for international and West Africa-based buyers focused on agribusiness to make face-to-face contact and build a meaningful business relationship. The event has been held for 5 consecutive years and has made tremendous growth, as shown in the current POST SHOW REPORT.
WHERE IS ABUJA?
Abuja is the capital of Nigeria. It is located in the center of the central belt of Nigeria, where many government and diplomatic offices operate.
WHAT OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS ARE NEEDED TO IMPORT EXHIBIT ITEMS- AGRO-CHEMICALS, FOOD, AND BEVERAGE, EXHIBITS?
Once registration is completed, an exhibitor has an automatic cover by NAFDAC (National Agency for Food Drugs Administration and Control) to bring in exhibit items in non-commercial quantities without the usual import approvals. NAFDAC is the Statutory Authority that regulates the import of all Chemicals/Foods/Beverages products. Pre-import approvals and permits are ordinarily required for commercial scale imports. In other words a registered and fully paid exhibitor is eligible to import exhibit items without further documentary stress. WHAT ABOUT MACHINERY AND OTHER EQUIPMENT?
The Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) is also in endorsement of the event and would allow items in the above category only for exhibit purposes. Proof of registration serves as automatic waivers to the effect. Contact Organizers for more information.
WHAT IS THE TURN AROUND TIME FOR INWARD FREIGHT CLEARANCE?
About 2-3 weeks on the average, though it could be a lot faster due to ongoing reforms. It is advisable to allow a minimum margin of safety to avoid disappointments. Usually vessels sailing from Asia to West Africa take about 45-60 days depending on shipping line and trans-shipment efficiency. Same for America, and South America.
WHAT IS THE POSSIBLE WAY TO IMPORT EXHIBITS?
Air Cargo- exhibitors may send their exhibit items by air cargo and consigned to their preferred local representative directly to the 151 PRODUCTS LTD. The cost of logistics would be borne by exhibitors.
Also exhibitors may carry exhibit items during trip to Nigeria. At the airport it is declared with customs and allowed without stress. NAFDAC agents are usually on hand to ensure a smooth transition at that point. Both Customs and NAFDAC are officially aware of the event.
SEA FREIGHT- Heavy-duty items may also be shipped and cleared inwards upon arrival. The item is usually marked as exhibit item for duty exempt benefits, since they may not be sold. Note that it is possible to also sell exhibit items after the exhibit but with special clearance from the relevant authorities.

It is advisable to ship item at least 3 months before the exhibition, especially if it is coming from ASIA, US, AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND, etc. As earlier explained, voyage to Nigeria from distant locations could sometimes take up to 45-60 days depending on transshipment.
STORAGE OF EXHIBIT BEFORE EXHIBITION
There are official warehouses for storage of exhibit items for minimal fee. Once exhibit items are cleared prior to exhibition, they are stored in exhibitors recommended state for best benefits. There are cooling facilities and rectifier equipment for prolonged preservation in the case of any perishable items.
COOLING FACILITIES DURING EXHIBITION
Arrangements can be made to have cooling fridges during the exhibition. Mini fridges are available upon request to ensure chilling of drinks, beverages or other items as the case may be contact exhibitor.
WHAT HAPPENS TO EXHIBIT AFTER EXHIBITION?
Usually the Exhibitor may have a plan to sell to any willing buyer who may now have to handle duty related issues, upon purchase. It is advisable to contact the Organizer who may, ahead of time, assist in post event disposal arrangements.
SEA PORTS OF ENTRY
There are 2 major Seaports into Lagos, Nigeria - TIN-CAN ISLAND PORT, OR APAPA PORTS. Either of the ports is less than 20 minutes drive to the exhibition Center or place of storage before exhibition.
PAYMENT FOR FREIGHT CLEARANCE/STORAGE/DRAYAGE?
Exhibitors are required to negotiate and pay for the above services. It may be advisable to seek the assistance of the Organizer (151 PRODUCTS LTD) for proper contractual obligations and rates. However exhibitors may put in place own arrangements as the need may be.
WHAT ABOUT STORAGE OF EXHIBIT ITEMS AND DRAYAGE?
Exhibitors may contact organizers for the inward clearing, storage and drayage. Alternatively, Exhibitors may make their own arrangement, enlisting the assistance of organizer where necessary. Delicate items would be stored in controlled storage conditions, and as may be advised by Exhibitor for best benefits.
DO I NEED VISA TO COME TO NIGERIA, IF YES WHAT TYPE OF VISA AND HOW DO I GET IT?
Registered exhibitors and visitors. Are eligible to apply for Travel Visa on the basis of confirmed Registration for the exhibition. All registered visitors and exhibitors would be issued official confirmation letters and Invitation for visa application purposes. Without prejudice, exhibitors may visit the following links for more information. For information on entry visa Nigeria. If VISA is not issued to any registered visitor or exhibitor, based on he discretion of the visa officer, then refunds would be made. Such notifications must be given at least 30 days to the event. In other words, it is advised that applicants must apply for visa at least 40 days before the event.
I DO NOT SPEAK ENGLISH, HOW DO I COMMUNICATE WITH THE NIGERIAN BUSINESS PEOPLE AT THE EXHIBITION?
The official language of business in Nigeria is English. However exhibitors who require translation services may contact Organizer (151 PRODUCTS LTD) for further assistance.
WE NEED BOOTH ATTENDANTS.
Exhibitors are advised to apply for same through the organizer, specifying quality and skill. It is advisable to do this on time, at least 20 days before start of exhibition.
HOW DO I SCHEDULE A B-2-B MEETING?
Exhibitors who require special B-2-B meetings may contract the Organizer (151 PRODUCTS LTD ) with their request. There are separate B-2-B rooms, which is available to exhibitors for quiet one-on-one meetings away from the usual noise of exhibition halls for a minimal fee. Requests should be sent well ahead of time or quickly during the exhibition.
IS THERE A CHANCE TO REQUEST A B-2-B MEETING WITH SPECIFIC BUSINESS GROUP ?

CAN I VISIT THE MARKETS/BUSINESS AFTER EXHIBITION?
Yes it is possible to have an excursion to the market for an onsite observation. Contact organizer.
WHAT ABOUT FOOD/ACCOMMODATION/AIRPORT TRANSFERS?
The Abuja International Conference Centre (AICC) provides an ideal location for exciting themed and large events. Ideal for, concerts, consumer and trade shows, large receptions or galas and other special events. The AICC can accommodate up to 3,000 guests.
COMMUTE FROM OTHER HOTELS TO EXHIBITION CENTRE.
There is an in-house and reliable TAXI service in most of the partner Hotels. However Exhibitors may also contact 151 PRODUCTS LTD, for a steady or alternated arrangements over the 3-day period or beyond.
Attendance to the opening ceremony is open to all, provided they are trade visitors. Organizer reserve the right to turn down requests for entry.

VISITING FROM OVERSEAS
All overseas visitors are welcome but would have to pay for registration. Receipts would be issued which may be used for visa application purposes. However issuance of visa remains the exclusive preserve of the visa officer in the country of application. Refunds are allowed if application is turned down, subject to contract.
WHEN IS THE EARLY BIRD REBATE WINDOW FOR EXHIBITORS CLOSING?
The early bird window closes by April 30, 2016. However Organizer may close this window earlier than May 10, depending on subscription rate.
WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED ARRIVAL DATE?

COMMUNICATION WHILE IN NIGERIA/INTERNET ACCESS.
Like in most other countries, GSM lines are easily available with very competitive dial rates. However most of the Hotels have ample provision for international dials. Also high speed fiber optic / Wi-Fi Internet connectivity is commonly available, in the event halls and hotels. Not withstanding, there is a standard communication center in the exhibition hall equipped with high speed internet facilities, basic secretarial services and international dials.

WHAT IS ABUJA?
The Federal Capital Territory is located in the geographical centre of Nigeria. lt has a land area of 8,000 square kilometers. It is bounded on the north by Kaduna State, the west by Niger State, the east and southeast by Nasarawa State and the southwest by Kogi State. It is built on a pre-Cambrian basement (granite) rock complex of distinctive domes and hills, the most striking of which is called Aso Rock.
It falls within latitudes 70 20′ North of the Equator and longitudes 60 45′ and 70 39′. Abuja is a very safe and visitor-friendly city to live, work, and visit. As a new capital, Abuja has the advantage of being well-planned over many capital cities. Visitors and arriving residents are greeted by orderliness of well-protected city. Abuja, by far, has one of the lowest crime rate in Africa. It has well-designed and maintained roads and clean streets.
Life in Abuja is moderately-paced and safe. Abuja, is a high brow area and peopled mainly by the middle upper class residents. Abuja is home to Global Multinationals, Diplomatic Missions and High net-worth organizations. Nightlife is active and tourists are often seen mingling freely between Bars, Restaurants, Cafes etc. There is a very dignified population of expatriates and diplomats. There are shopping malls, Supermarkets, Good Hospitals, Boutiques and Drug Stores all around. However, the ordinary duty of basic selfcare is also required as would apply in any other country of visit. WHEN IS THE DEADLINE FOR BOOTH APPLICATION?
Exhibitor booth application ends by August 21, 2016. Booths are limited and would be allocated strictly on a first come, first served basis. Early bookings allow for proper planning and adequate facilitation of logistics for best value to exhibitors.

CAN I BRING ANIMALS/PETS TO THE EXPO HALL?
Animals or pet are not allowed into the exhibition Hall.

The local currency of trade in Nigeria is the Naira. The US dollar, Euro, Pounds sterling, are easily convertible to the NAIRA . Most hotels have multiple recreational facilities- GYMS, TENNIS COURTS, OLYMPIC SIZE SWIMMING POOLS, SQUASH RACKET COURT, CASINOS, SEVERAL BARS, DANCE/LOUNGE, etc.
